Argylls

 Remembrance Day

This year’s parade was another great day. This year the parade was lead by a pipe band from St. Columba's High school from Kilmalcolm. Big thanks to both the school and the pipes and drums.

Again the parade broke into 2 parties one attending the church service at St. Andrews church in Port Glasgow and the other laying a wreath at Finlaystone Estate at the Argyll memorial.

Both parties then joined up and proceeded with the parade through Port Glasgow town centre to the Cenotaph where the wreaths were laid, The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders wreath was laid by Denis McLuskey on behalf of the combined services and the late Willie Burrows brother laid the wreath for the branch. After the service the branch then returned to the Comet Bar for refreshments big thanks to Donny and staff of the bar for their continued support of the Branch.

Some of the branch also attended the Navy Club in Greenock after the service big thanks to them for inviting us a good day was had by all those who attended.

Below are the pictures form the parade through Port Glasgow, the Comet bar and the Navy club. Pictures from Finlaystone will be on the site shortly.
